Seasoned start-up entrepreneur with a love for brand and marketing

Ten years Ecommerce marketing experience across European markets with a track record in brand building, rapid revenue growth, customer acquisition and team management.

I built an “own brand” online high quality homewares company (www.urbanara.com)  from scratch with a team of 70 people and revenues of €12mill., retailing in DACH and the UK.

I have a strong grounding across all marketing channels including:

  • Digital and social advertising

  • CRM

  • PR (I am also comfortable representing the company in the press - see some interviews I did here)

  • Social Media

  • Offline & Events

  • Plus traditional above the line activity such as TV and Out of Home Billboard campaigns

MY WORK EXPERIENCE:

GetYourGuide, Jan 2018 - To date: Director of Brand and Creative Studio, Berlin

Joined to lead the rebrand with Design Studio. Built the team from 2 to 20 people within in a year. Responsible for all brand marketing across the company.

TRAVELLED THE WORLD FOR A YEAR

URBANARA, Nov 2010 - Mar 2017: Founder, Director of Marketing and Product Development, Berlin

Founder of high quality online homewares brand. Responsible for the complete marketing and brand strategy for the company, across all aspects including branding, advertising (digital and traditional above the line), CRM and social as well as visuals and content production.  Also led all product sourcing and portfolio management. Built the company to €12mil revenues and 70 employees. Involved in all aspects of the business including strategic direction, P&L management, operations, IT and HR.

MyFab, Jul 2010 - Oct 2010: Head of Strategic Planning, Shanghai

Reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for strategy initiatives for this French furniture ecommerce pioneer. Managed projects across the company from logistics, to IT development to marketing as well as HR, during a critical period for the company as they sought to close their Series C funding.

MyFab, Sept 2009 - Jun 2010: UK Country Manager, Shanghai

Responsible for the complete launch of MyFab in the UK market. Developed go-to-market strategy and timeline including market potential, country specific portfolio adaptations and requirements, operations and logistics as well as the recruitment of the in-country team
